Beginnings and endings coincide. Something ceasing to be opens up space for another thing to occur. Equally, something new coming to life can snuff out what once took up the space it now begins to fill.
Sometimes these transitions are quick, nearly instant — left to process the shift only in the aftermath. Many transitions are slow… starting beneath the surface as subtle changes that culminate into bigger, more tangible movement, ultimately changing the course of one’s life entirely.
The day ends as night begins, only for the night to close at the start of each new day. Transitions are rhythmic, natural, stunning, beautiful and necessary - and are a true part of living the human experience.
How has a transition that you’ve lived through impacted you recently?

We live in a very fast-paced society with high demands and high expectations. At times, just to keep up with our daily tasks, it may feel necessary to put our inner needs and desires aside. If not careful, this can lead to long periods of self neglect where beneath the surface one slowly fades away into a mere abstraction of who they truly are.
Rhythms are simple, change is complex. To choose to remerge and embody oneself again is both a deeply empowering and incredibly challenging act. Transitioning back to oneself may be scary and disorienting at times, however, accessing the courage to face the deep long night is rewarded by the brilliant light of a brand new day.
Have you ever felt like you lost connection to a part of yourself? When have you felt most embodied in your own skin?
